Areas of research activity:
My research activity is concentrated in three major areas:
(1) Philosophy of physics with a special focus on the ontological and epistemological
status of symmetries in formalized physical theories, such as quantum
mechanics and general relativity;
(2) the relations between science and
religion, wherein studies are carried out on the possible reinterpretation
of Christian doctrine with the onset of the scientific picture of
the Universe;
(3) and the cognitive science of religion.
I am the author of two books devoted to contemporary issues in the philosophy of physics. Currently, in cooperation with the Department of Theology of our university, I am preparing a major work on evolutionary theology in an attempt to show perspectives on the reinterpretation of doctrine with the onset of the evolutionary dynamic picture of the Universe.
