Doctor of theological sciences, habilitated doctor of humanities in the discipline of philosophy. He is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow and member of the Polish Phenomenological Society. He is associated with the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow: in 2011, he defended his doctorate thesis here on the anthropology of Józef Tischner, and in 2022 he obtained his habilitation degree based on the achievements and the book The Unveiling Corporeality. The Multifarious Issues of the Body in the French Phenomenology. 
 
Rev. dr. hab. Piotr Karpiński also cooperates with the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. He is the author of several books and over 40 scientific articles. Rev. Piotr Karpiński recently published a translation of Christos Yannaras’ work Variations on the Song of Songs, preceded by his introductory essay Erotic Phenomenology. 
 
His field of interests includes: French philosophy and phenomenology, philosophy of the body and eroticism, modern and contemporary criticism of metaphysics, the possibility of phenomenology as the first philosophy, erotic phenomenology as a new paradigm of practicing philosophy and theology.
